Assistant Research Professor - Experimental Fusion Plasma Physics - (Auburn) in Auburn, Alabama For Sale

The Department of Physics at Auburn Uniersity is seeking a qualified individual for a research faculty position in experimental fusion plasma science. Preference is for a junior level candidate (ie Assistant Research Professor), but all ranks will be considered. The position is a non-tenure track, one year appointment and is subject to annual renewal based on performance, need and funding. The successful candidate will be expected to: (1) contribute to research at Wendelstein 7-X at IPP Grefswald, Germany for the duration of employment, (2) contribute to the advancement of the fusion science program at Auburn University both locally and on a national and international level, and (3) provide guidance and mentoring for graduate students and post-doctoral researchers in fusion plasma physics.
